William Research Centre has been established with the aim of fostering and endorsing original curiosity driven fundamental research in life sciences as well as social oriented charitable works. I had the privilege of taking this responsibility as the Director of this Institute from 1st February 2016 onwards. It gives me immense satisfaction that over the years the Institute has made tremendous progress in many areas. It has now become an academy of innovative science and applied research. William Research Centre is climbing the ladder of success steadily in a highly competitive scientific research is coming into limelight on the national and international stage by maintaining the uniqueness in the research field and social activities. The Institute has chosen contemporary frontier areas of research in the fields of Traditional Siddha Medicines, Biological sciences, Environmental Sciences and Ethnobotany.
William Research Centre is successfully forging ahead a fruitful yield of delivering the scientific knowledge to the society, Published 11 research papers in International peer reviewed Journals in all the above areas of sciences and published books “Ethnomedicines of Puravilai Hills South India” at Germany and UGC NET/JRF/SET General Paper – I. Teaching and Research Aptitude “For your FUTURE” WRC 2018 and Orchids of Kanyakumari District. I extend our deepest gratitude for your continuing support and confidence in our mission nature, nurture, ensure and secure future to provide sympathetic service to people, charity and excellence through conserving nature for sustainable future through educational awareness and research. Organized two International Conferences and Workshops with ISBN Number from the Ministry and successfully submitted the DBT Foldscope Project Final Report. It’s my profound gratitude to thank the Department of Biotechnology Panel Experts for the funded DBT FOLDSCOPE project entitled “PHARMACOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF IN-VITRO ENDEMIC AND ENDANGERED MEDICINAL ORCHIDS, SOUTH INDIA”. I’m thankful to the Research Centre for being the recipient of JC Bose Young Scientist Award, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Distinguished Academician Award and Pulathiyar Award from the Ministry of AYUSH during SIDDHA DAY Celebration 2020.
